With neck date 26 April 1982 and serial number 02087, this JV ’62 Stratocaster dates from not only the first year but the first months of the legendary ‘JV’ range launched by Fender in March 1982. The 3.7kg (8.2lbs) body has deep ’62 curves, and the neck features a dark Brazilian 9.5” radius fretboard with recently crowned and polished original frets. The headstock decal and neck plate are pristine and other hardware all original. Inside are three black bottom Fullerton USA pickups with cloth wiring, CTS pots and original Sprague orange drop cap. A 5-way switch is installed but original 3 way is in the case. Original tremolo arm is with the guitar. An outstanding player Strat with smooth feel and great tones in all positions. Weight is 8.2Lbs. The case is a black Fender rectangular in excellent condition. Located in Canberra, can ship most places at buyer cost.
