Vintage 1980s Hondo H77 HSS Fender Stratocaster Copy Electric Guitar

Made in Korea, this is a great, fierce sounding strat copy from the 80’s. The guitar is in excellent condition, especially considering it’s age. It’s just had a full service and setup. Frets are great. Neck is straight and comfortable and the pickup covers have yellowed nicely. A few scratches and paint chips as can be seen in the pictures but the overall condition and color is good to great. The tuners and the tremolo function well.

Rumour has it these early Hondo’s had unbranded DiMarzio pickups. I can confirm that both the humbucker and the single coils sound fantastic: thick and ‘midrangey’, great for blues and rock. AdRock from the Beastie Boys seemed to exclusively play these Hondos throughout his career (check out “Sabotage” on Letterman).
