The Cube Stereo 140 HPC Race is an agile dualie that is designed to give you dynamic all-mountain performance on the trails. Cube wanted this bike to give you the highest level of performance with the lowest weight for a snappy ride. The carbon/alloy frame has a HPC Carbon Monocoque Advanced Twin Mould front end with a 6061 aluminium rear triangle for an optimised balance of strength and lightweight design. The Agile Trail Geometry is light and durable, playing into the Efficient Trail Control Kinematics which this bike is built around. The suspension on this bike is finely tuned for excellent control with the Fox 34 Float Rhythm Fork with 150mm travel and 140mm rear travel thanks to the trunnion mounted Fox Float DPS Rear Shock.

The Stereo 140 has everything you need to ride at your best, equipped with a 1X12 speed Shimano XT Drivetrain for a wide range of smooth and efficient gears which are built to perform thanks to the 1×12 setup which is now the gold standard on the trails. You’ll still ride in complete control of all of this easy speed thanks to the Shimano MT520/500 Hydraulic Disc Brakes WITH 203/180mm rotors for confidence-inspiring control on the trails. The 27.5” Schwalbe Nobby Nic Tyres offer a good level of traction from day dot for an enjoyable riding experience, matched with Fulcrum Red Fire 55 EM wheels which as the name suggests are straight up fire on the trails. Cube have thought of all of the minor details on this bike, even kitting this bike out with a Cube Dropper Post so that you can really attack every ride. The Cube Stereo 140 HPC Race Mountain Bike brings bold colours and its performance matches its sweet looks. This all-mountain machine is nimble and light for an athletic ride and feel with high-quality spec from top to bottom to round out an impressive bike.

Features

Agile Ride Geometry: We ran innumerable tests to develop the Agile Ride Geometry in our series of big wheel bikes. We also added the 27.5in wheel size to the very well received portfolio. Three important details lead to the very agile character. Increased fork offsets let us achieve the same trail as our 26in bikes without having to steepen the head angle, thus maintaining generous toe clearance to the front wheel. Secondly, we shortened the chain stays without compromising the seat angle. We invented a patented construction to mount the front derailleur to give us more tyre clearance while keeping a conventional seat angle, leading to a perfect riding position for every rider size. Last but not least we kept the BB height the same as on our 26in bikes. FSP4Link: The key requirement is for continuously active and fully usable travel, with the rear triangle unaffected by pedalling or especially braking forces. There are a number of ways of achieving this – CUBE favours a four-bar design with a chainstay pivot. Here, one of the pivots is located between the dropout and the chainstay, ensuring that braking does not have a negative effect on the movement of the rear wheel. By carefully positioning the remaining pivots, we obtain the finest riding qualities for our full suspension bikes both uphill and downhill.

Integrated Cable Routing: Internally routed cables offer many advantages. Cables are protected from dirt for longer life, weight is saved thanks to the absence of external housing and the bike has a clean, eek appearance.Frame Safe System: To protect our high-end aluminium frames from damage, they are built with the CUBE Frame Save System replaceable derailleur hanger. The mounting thread is in the hanger and not in the frame as usual. In case of a crash, this hanger can be easily and quickly replaced by a new one.Integrated Post Mount: The post mount rear brake system is found on all carbon fibre frames and top aluminium full suspension models. Two bolts and the IS adapter aren’t needed anymore, and fewer parts means less weight. In this case we save 30 grams. This may not sound a lot.
