1979 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Guitar

1979 Rickenbacker 4001 in excellent condition.

All original and has new treble bezel fitted. Recently received a full luthier setup and everything is running beautifully.

The truss rods move freely, the neck is straight with a low action, there is plenty of fret life left (and strung with nickels), there are no cracks or repairs, the electrics work perfectly and the pickups are both strong and clear- the treble in particular is quite strong.

It has the absolute classic Rickenbacker sound and is just a perfect rock machine. Sounds great on its own and also pushes drive and modulation pedals super well.

The neck profile is slim as is typical for the late 70s – much slimmer than early 80s onward and is heaps of fun to play.

The case is in great structural condition with the centre latch still working and the 2 end latches not working.
